£5,000 boost for Peak rescue teams

Derbyshires Chief Constable Mick Creedon and Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Charles have donated £5,000 to the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation, to mark their 50th anniversary this year.

The organisation, which consists of seven mountain rescue teams, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

The money will be used for a range of purposes including training costs, kit and vehicle maintenance.
