PUPILS at a Matlock School put paint to paper to help recreate one of the most famous stories ever told.
As the climax of their RE week before breaking up for the holidays, the youngsters at All Saints’ Infants on Dimple Road were tasked with painting a scene from the Easter story, from the crucifixion to Jesus’ resurrection.
The paintings have now been placed up around the nearby All Saints’ Church.
Teacher Lynn Beeson said: “Each year group has done part of the Easter story with the pictures representing a particular situation from Palm Sunday to Jesus on the cross.
“They have really worked hard and enjoyed it, they tried really hard.
“They will be up in the church throughout the holidays.”
