Racing for Alzheimer’s

A MATLOCK man has raised over £1600 for the Alzheimer’s Society after running the London Marathon.

Dom Stevens, son of Cllr Geoff Stevens, took part in the world-famous race on April 22.

After putting every last ounce of energy he could muster into the challenge – Dom smashed his personal best by over 30 minutes with an impressive time of four hours and twenty two minutes.

Dom said: “I really enjoyed the event, the atmosphere of the London marathon is amazing and I was pleased to run a personal best and would like to thank everyone for their support in reaching my sponsorship target.”
