A charity Dragon Boat race has been given to go-ahead to recruit more teams in a final bid to raise as much money as possible for charity.
The event is aiming to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
It is also in memory of ex-Matlock Mercury reporter Richard Woolley – who died of Leukaemia in 2009.
The top four teams will win medals for each person and a trophy for the winning team.
There is also a prize for the best fancy dress outfit and the team who raises the most money for charity will have a free two-course meal for twelve people at Ka-China, Cantonese Restaurant, Sheffield.
The event takes place at Rother Valley Country Park, South Yorkshire, on Saturday 9 June. No experience is necessary.
