Mercury reporters are eager to meet readers face to face in the first of a new line up of surgeries.
Reporters Christina Massey and Dan Hobson will be on hand to chat to the public about news and entertainment items, as well as pick up letters for the paper at Matlock’s Citizens Advice Bureau, in the Ritz building, Steep Turnpike, tomorrow morning.
The appointment will become a regular fixture between 9.30am and 12.30pm every Friday.
Christina said: “I’m looking forward to getting out there and getting to know some of our loyal readers – and hopefully pick up some cracking story and feature ideas.”
Dan added: “It’s important for us to keep contact with our readership and the whole team is hopeful that these surgeries will be a great way to do that. So, whether you’ve got a story to tell, or even just fancy talking about issues in the area, we’re all really keen to hear from you.”
As well as the surgeries, people can drop off letters and Memory Lane items at the Mercury postbox inside Bridge News, in Crown Square, Matlock, or send them to our new base at 37 Station Street, Chesterfield, S41 7XD.
Readers can comment on stories by visiting www.matlockmercury.co.uk or texting MAM (space) COMMENT (space) and their comment to 61500 – texts cost 25p plus the standard network rate.
They can also follow us on Facebook, or Twitter.com/MatMerc.
Christina is available by calling 01246 504614 and Dan can be reached by calling 01246 504536.

“There are plenty of ways to get in touch, so why not contact us today?” Christina concluded.
