Buxton Mountain Rescue Team was called to Stoop Farm, Hollinsclough following an incident involving an injured hill walker.
A 61-year-old female from West Bridgeford, Nottinghamshire, was walking with her husband and slipped whilst descending the steep hillside near to Tor Rock, north west of Chrome Hill.
The lady sustained a lower leg injury and was treated on site by the East Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics, placed onto a mountain rescue stretcher and vacuum mattress and carried some 300 metres down hill to a farmer’s Land Rover
She was then taken by ambulance to the Macclesfield General Hospital.
A spokesperson said: “The conditions at the time were low cloud and mist, leading to wet slippery surfaces.
“Whilst descending to the casualties location with equipment one of the team members slipped on the steep, wet grassy hillside, and sustained a scalp injury, not requiring a hospital visit.”
