Rescue teams called to Matlock quarry climbing spot after fall injury

A Derbyshire Fire & Rescue team was called to help somone who suffered a fall at a popular Matlock climbing spot this afternoon.

A spokesman for the service said: “At 2.45pm, two Matlock crews attended Bank Quarry, Matlock to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service and Derby Mountain Rescue in rescuing a person who had fallen from a height.

“The casualty was carried to safety and left in the care of paramedics.”
