Residents get plumbing

Dales residents can pick up a new skill and save money with a new plumbing course.

Derbsyshire County Council’s Adult Community Service is offering a City and Guilds Plumbing Course.

Over the 20 weeks of the introductory course students will tackle and become competent in copper pipe work, how to fit toilets and washbasins, and setting up guttering and downpipes resulting in a Basic Construction Skills Level One.

It takes place at Lady Manners School, in Bakewell, on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 9.30pm from November 7.

Tuition is free to students on Job Seekers’ Allowance or Employment Support Allowance. To book a place or for more information contact 01629 813747.
