CELEBRATIONS are no doubt in stall for thousands of Dales students collecting their A Level results today.
Hordes of anxious teenagers have been streaming into their respective schools to find the final result from two years of hard work.
Juliette Carlton-Thoquenne, of Anthony Gell, said: “I’m so happy with my A Level results but feel like I might actually pass out.
“These results will mean that I’ve got a place at Oxford in September which is exactly what I wanted.”
But whether they’re heading to university, straight into employment or heading to faraway lands for gap years – students will undoubtedly feel a sense of relief now all the hard work and waiting is over.
Alice Dick, of Highfields, said: “It’s been such a stressful time revising and waiting so we’re all off to Chesterfield tonight to celebrate.
“I’m heading to Sussex University to study History this September and I cannot wait.”
More A Level updates will follow online and in the next edition of the Mercury.
