REVEALED: Top 10 secondary schools in Derbyshire

The Ecclesbourne School in Belper has been rated the best secondary in Derbyshire by a website that monitors the performance of schools over the past year.

Lady Manners School in Bakewell is third in the list.

The website - www.schoolsguide.co.uk - has rated all the secondary schools in the county according to key performance data including exam results, Ofsted reports, ‘value added’ score and pupil to teacher ratio.

The top 10 secondary schools in the county, according to the website are:

1) The Ecclesbourne School, Belper

2) St Mary’s Catholic High School, A Catholic Voluntary Academy, Chesterfield

3) Lady Manners School, Bakewell

4) Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Ashbourne

5) Highfields School, Matlock

9) Belper School and Sixth Form Centre, Belper
