Ride 100 miles of prime Peak District road to help Rwanda

Motorcyclists across the Dales are urged to get into gear for a 100 mile Peak District ride this month.

The Goboka Rwanda Trust, a registered charity based in Bakewell, is staging the event to raise funds to supply a rough-terrain motorbike with maintenance back-up for outreach care in Rwanda.

Organiser Phil Bramhall said: “This is an opportunity for motorcyclists to help make a massive difference to the lives of ordinary people in Rwanda – just by riding some of the best roads in the Peak District.”

The event starts on Saturday, June 29, from the Aquabox premises on the B5036 Cromford Hill industrial estate.

Bike breakdown assistance, Derbyshire Bike Safety Officer and charity volunteers will be present on the day. Refreshments and toilets will be available at the start, the check-points and at the end of the ride.
