Steve and Jack Bocca, of The Bocca Brothers, and drummer Dan Haynes are pushing the team on to success in Rio in a fortnight’s time on June 12 with an anthem that they hope fans will be chanting from the stands.

The song “Boys in Brazil 2014, England World Cup Anthem” is already attracting hits on YouTube by typing in Bocca Brothers via http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=U8HRVIMhcpA and it is proving very popular.

Jack said: “We’ve followed England’s highs and lows over the years and have loved some of the famous anthems that have been produced for major tournaments not least Three Lions.

“So this time round we wanted to show our support in the most personal way possible and we hope the fans will chant out our song in Brazil and drown out the beat of the Brazil’s Samba drums.”

The two experienced singer-guitarists are big Indie music fans and Indie tribute band performers and their England song packs a lot of punch with a strong bass line and verse that fans should easily pick up.

Winning lyrics include “We are England and we’re proud, You can hear us and we’re loud,” and, “We are Lions and we roar, Do the Samba when we score”.

Steve said: “It’s not something we’ve just thrown together it’s been a labour of love. We’ve cheered and cried for the boys and wanted to produce something that would inspire the team and the fans.

“Boys in Brazil captures the die-hard passion of both the England team and England supporters and we hope the lads will be packing it with their sun cream when they head off to Rio.”
