Road closed as big freeze grips county
The A57 Snake Pass road is closed in both directions tonight because ice is causing “hazardous” driving conditions.
The news came as the Met Office issued a yellow ‘be aware’ alert of ice in Derbyshire.
It warned drivers to take extra care from tonight into tomorrow morning.
Temperatures are set to plummet to near freezing across the county overnight.
