Road safety was in the spotlight for children at a village playgroup.
Holloway Playgroup welcomed Paul Black, assistant district road safety officer for Derbyshire County Council, to one of their sessions.
Paul came along to talk to the children about crossing roads safely and the importance of wearing a seat belt.
Fun and lively props were used to get the road safety message across.
The children were also invited to help demonstrate a pelican crossing and a puffin crossing which had real flashing traffic lights and crossing sounds.
A spokesman for the playgrounp said: “The very lesson is just part of Holloway Playgroup’s commitment to providing stimulating and lively learning fun for the children in it’s care.”
The playgroup, based in the village hall, has a number of places available.
