A Matlock woman will be running her first ever marathon later this month, and is hoping to raise thousands of pounds for Arthritis Research.
Michelle Harrison, 31, is the information content manager for the charity and decided to take on the challenge after learning about the condition.
Michelle, who is hoping to raise £2,000 said: “I have seen the effect arthritis can have on people’s lives first hand and applied for a place in the London Marathon to do something to help the millions of people affected by it in the UK.
“I have never done any running before and this really is the most difficult thing I’ve ever done, so everyone’s support is very much appreciated, and it’s for a great cause. I am running all week in all weathers to make sure I’m fit enough to get over the line, so look out for me in my bright orange training vest.”
