Seven sheep killed in late night collision

A car took out a flock of sheep during a late night collision.

Motorists are now being warned to be aware of animal life on country roads at night after a collision, which took place at 11pm on June 10 on the A53 Leek to Buxton road – just past the Winking Man.

Paramedic Area Support Officer, Kevin Errington, said: “The man driving the car was uninjured.

“Although animals like this are normally in fields, others like deer are not. Please take care whilst driving on country roads, especially at night.”
