Shaping the future

People with learning disabilities, family carers and staff have been helping to shape the future of support services across Derbyshire.

More than 300 people with learning disabilities and their family carers have so far had their say as part of Derbyshire County Council’s Community Lives programme.

Derbyshire County Council Cabinet Member for Adult Care Cllr Charles Jones said: “Changes to support for people with learning disabilities are coming, and while nothing will happen overnight or without consultation, we need to know what people think about current support and what they would like to see in the future.”
