Magpie, in Dale Road, was chosen as a setting in a new film called Stop/Eject.
The film was directed by Neil Osemanand is a short, fantasy drama about a young widow who uses a magic tape recorder to rewind time and visit her past life with her husband.
Magpie played the part of ‘The Passing Cloud Trust’, a charity store in which the magical tape recorder is found.
The owner of Magpie, Matthew Hibbs, also let the crew use rooms above the shop as other locations for the film.
Masson Mills also provided the location for the scene in which the two lead characters become engaged.
