Sponsored swim helps hearts

Pupils and parents of Hartington Primary School and members of Hartington Young People’s Activity Club (HYPAC) have helped raise £1,568 for the British Heart Foundation.

They raised the cash by participating in the Celebration Sponsored Swim, at Arc Leisure, Matlock.

Sophie Jardine, from the British Heart Foundation, presented the participants with certificates and shields in recognition of their achievement.

Liz Broomhead MBE received the award on behalf of HYPAC, while John Dean and Maddie Wager received the award on behalf of Hartington Primary School.
