Sports clubs and groups signing up for I Am Team GB - the nation's biggest sports day

Sports clubs and activity groups throughout Derbyshire and the East Midlands are taking part in the nation's biggest ever sports day.

In the I Am Team GB event on Saturday August 27 2016 they will join hundreds of thousands of people across the UK getting active in their local community.

I Am Team GB is a golden opportunity for every local sports club and activity group to open their doors and welcome new members and supporters. The day is sponsored by The National Lottery and ITV, supported by the British Olympic Association and it is still open to new events.

Don’t worry if you haven’t got the right equipment – they can provide that for you, from 11am - noon.

Poolsbrook parkrun is holding a free friendly timed 5km run open to runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities. If you don’t fancy running, you can always volunteer. From 9am-10am.
