The district council’s club development coordinator Alan McGill said: “Twenty-six local clubs have already registered on the Clubs First programme and our aim is to respond to those areas where they tell us they need more help.

“This latest workshop follows on from an event in Matlock in January that focused on safeguarding and protecting children.

“These Clubs First courses are as relevant to community-based clubs as they are to those that have a sports remit, and we’d encourage them to sign up for free to the programme at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/clubsfirst.”

It’s the second event organised by Derbyshire Dales District Council’s Clubs First project since its launch at the end of last year.
