Staff from Dales Housing have been out in the community clearing up neglected areas.
More than 20 members from the Matlock-based housing organisation took part in a ‘Dales in the Community’ Day, tidying up areas around Lime Grove and Oker Avenue in Darley Dale, clearing rubbish from the A6 underpass in the area and the pathway at the bottom of the estate.
They then turned their attention to gardening at a local project which is sponsored by the Derbyshire Federation for Mental Health. The various sites were identified for the event by Dales Housing’s own staff and by Darley Dale Town Council.
Jacque Allen of Dales Housing said: “The aim of the day was for volunteers from Dales to go out into the community and show we are not just about providing homes.”
