Pharmacists across the county are urging travellers to speak to them for advice before jetting off on holiday.

Derbyshire Local Pharmaceutical Committee, which represents pharmacies in the county, wants pharmacies to be travellers one stop shop when it comes to health care advice for holidays.

As the holiday season is underway, it is important get the right vaccinations and be ready to treat minor ailments by packing the right travel medicines .

John Sargeant, Community Pharmacy Derbyshire chairman said: “If you’re going away this summer, please don’t hesitate to have a chat with a pharmacist about what you’ll need to do before you go. Whether you want to know more about getting the right vaccinations or what medicines you should pack, pop in to your local pharmacy.”
