Ashgate Hospice is giving the chance for everyone to become a superhero for the day and take on the challenge of walking or running around Buxton’s beautiful Pavilion Gardens in the Superhero 5k.

Alison Ward-Foster, Community Fundraising Manager, said: “We wanted to give the opportunity for people to do something a little different for charity and get the whole family involved.”

The sponsored event is taking place on the morning of Sunday September 21 and those taking part can choose to complete the event in whatever outfit they choose.

Alison added: “It’s entirely up to individuals what superhero they want to come as - be as imaginative as you like!

“If dressing up isn’t for you, you can still come along and take part.

“After all, we think all of our supporters are heroes in ensuring we can continue to provide vital services to local people.”
