Britain has launched air strikes on ISIS targets in Syria just hours after MPs voted in favour of allowing British forces to extend its bombing commitments.
Four Tornado bombers took off from the RAF Akrotiri air base in Cyprus and struck targets in Syria, with the Government saying more strikes are planned today.
The sorties followed a day of drama at Westminster, when dozens of Labour MPs ignored leader Jeremy Corbyn and backed military action.
It is a debate that has split the nation - with seemingly no clear consensus on whether extending military commitments into Syria will help or hinder the situation.
