FUNDRAISING became hair-raising for a team of rugby players who used a national campaign to pull in more than £1,365.
The Bakewell Mannerians temporarily became the MOnnerians to mark Movember- a drive to encourage men to grow a moustache to help create awareness for male health.
And 13 of the squad all took part which helped them rake in the healthy amount.
Dedicated player Sean Driscoll has taken on the challenge for the past four years. He said: “We were over the moon, individually I got £600 and I was aiming for £500. It was really good, people are generous.”
As for taking part again later this year, he added: “It’s something I can’t get out of now!”
