The Derbyshire Food and Craft Fair is to be held at Kedleston Hall on Saturday and Sunday, August 18-19, open from 10am-5pm.
It is a celebration of all that is good to eat and drink from across the region and beyond.
From condiments, artisan cheeses, home cured and fresh meat, dairy products, confectionary, bakery, wine, beer and other drinks, together with cookware and other related products, the Derbyshire Food and Craft Fair is really attracting a range of stallholders, in this, its first year.
Organisers Oakleigh Fairs are delighted to announce that Sophie Grigson, a major name from the world of food, will be cooking up a storm in the Demonstration Marquee.
Sophie is a keen champion of domestic cookery, practical and keen on eating well. She has dedicated her career to cooking simple dishes, using new and exciting ingedients. having published 24 cookery books, Sophie is synonymous with great food and has a natural ability to teach cookery in a fun and informal way.
Foodie Hector Bunting, as well as champion of healthy eating Wendi Jarrett, will also be sharing their skills and knowledge, all adding to a really fun weekend for everyone from the amateur enthusiast through to the most sophisticated gastronome. And the show is also supporting and is supported by British Food Fortnight.
Organiser Emma Owen, director of Oakleigh Fairs said: “We are delighted to be coming to Kedleston for the first time this year. It is such a fantastic setting, we scouted for over a year for the perfect venue for a food-led event in the region and we feel we certainly picked the right one - Kedleston is ideal.”
There will also be a range of food-related and other stalls including arts, craft and gift marquees at the event.
