A team of swimmers will be taking to open water this weekend to raise money for charity.

Eleven members of Matlock Water Polo Club will be donning their wet suits this Saturday and climbing into the chilly waters of Lake Windermere to take part in the Great North Swim.

The team members have each set themselves the target of swimming one mile in the lake to raise cash for Derbyshire–based charity, the Tiny Tim Trust.

Anyone interested in sponsoring the Matlock Water Polo Club is urged to call chairman Colin Ingley on 07814711372.
