Police seized two BB guns after a youngster was injured in an incident at a house in Calver.
The incident, involving two 13-year-old boys, happened at around 3pm on Thursday, June 30.
One of the youngsters suffered from bruising on his back after he was shot by the other boy. Both youngsters are local to the area and knew each other well. The incident was dealt with through Restorative Justice and the teenager has written a letter of apology to his friend.
PC Ian Richardson said: “Firing a BB gun at another person could cause a nasty injury so it’s worth reminding parents to consider whether a BB gun is suitable for their child to use.”
