Television presenter encourages walkers to take part in annual outdoors festival

A television presenter is the face of a festival that encourages people to make the most of the countryside.

Julia Bradbury has pledged her support to this year’s Peak District Walking Festival, which takes place between April 26 and May 11.

The festival will feature more than 90 events – ranging from easy one–mile village trails to longer, more demanding routes across rugged countryside.

“It’s especially significant to me that the festival’s taking place in the Peak District, which I consider to be ‘home ground’,” said Julia. “My father was born here, and I’ve been enjoying walking in this beautiful area since I was six years old.”
