THE temporary and interim employment market has remained stable despite the uncertain economic climate.
According to a report by Venn Group, vacancies in the Midlands have levelled since the last quarter with a drop off just 5.2 per cent.
Overall, the region is still performing 50 percent better than the end of last year.
Although confidence in the area is improving, interims are receiving on average £227 per day – which signals a decrease since the beginning of the year where interims were commanding an average day rate of £266.
Temporary professionals are receiving on average £14 per hour, which is higher than the national average and an increase on the beginning of the year where rates stood at £13 per hour.
