Just a short note to say a big thank you for all your kind donations of money and raffle prizes for the annual Christmas charity event.
Last December, Santa once again Santa visted 7 The Parkway.
He arrived on his special sleigh pulled by two fine horses, with Caroline Dale-Leech of The Red House Stables with all the other carriage,s full with young girls and boys.
Some members of Darley Dale band welcomed Santa with some wonderful christmas carols.
We were amazed at the generous donations made on the day again, as we are still in an recession, and times are hard.
Support was great from all the local business/shops/restaurants/ hotels etc in helping out, sponsoring, raffle prizes and donating money - a big thank you goes them as, as without theirr help, it would not happen.
All the mone went into Santa’s bank account, and we are getting ready to hand out two cheques.
They will be present on Sunday, July 29, at 5pm at The Whitworth Park Hotel in the beer garden, as it is its their birthday music afternoon ,starting at 4pm.
The two cheques are for, Joel Rodgers, helping him to walk, and The Air Ambulance.
I would like to say thank you to all my helpers on the day, and for all the planing that goes on behine the scenes
Santa does not pay his volunteers because they,re worthless, but because they are priceless.
