The engraved milestones will be placed in Matlock, Darley Dale and Bakewell to markt eh route of the Olmpic Torch.
An additional marker will be placed at Highfields School to commemorate its stop off there.
Derbyshire County Council’s cabinet member for culture Andrew Lewer said: “The Olympics have been a proud moment for the UK and for our county.
“We want to celebrate the incredible achievements of everyone involved and also leave a permanent reminder of the Olympics here in Derbyshire.”
The markers will be unveiled by Derbyshire Olympic torchbearers on September 9 to coincide with the closing ceremony of the 2012 Paralympics Games.
The stones have been designed and carved by local stone mason Andy Oldfield.
