Town crier to ring in a new era at shop

Town Crier Bill Weston MBE will ring in a new era on Monday when he officially opens Blythe House Hospice’s Buxton charity shop.

Mr Weston will cut the ribbon to mark the launch of the new Eagle Parade shop at 1.30pm, and customers will be welcomed to browse or purchase goods and enjoy refreshments.

Sue Wright, retail manager, said: “The new shop is not only larger than its predecessor but also now includes specific men’s and kids’ areas.

“A ‘something special’ rail is a new addition which displays high-quality clothing.”

The hospice is currently looking for volunteers to help in its charity shops. Call Sue Wright on 01298 815388.
