Motorcyclist killed in A57 crash

The male rider was travelling from Glossop on a black-coloured Kawasaki bike when he was in collision with a Citroen Picasso people carrier heading in the opposite direction.

The accident happened at around 11.20am this morning (Sunday).

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Derbyshire police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or either vehicle prior to the collision to contact the Collision Investigation Unit using the 101 number, quoting incident number 316 - 9/3/14.”
