Two cut free from Hayfield car crash

Two casualties were rescued from a two-car crash in Hayfield on Thursday.

Fire crews from Glossop and New Mills were called to the collision on the A624 at about 6.15pm.

Firefighters stabilised the vehicles and extricated a man, leaving him in the care of the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

A woman was also freed from a car by removing the roof.
