Two Glossop homes targeted by burglar in the same night

Sometime between midnight and 7am on Saturday, November 28, two homes in Highstones Gardens, Hope Street, were broken into.

In one case, the homeowner was not in at the time and it is not thought that anything was taken.

A valuable car was on the driveway and police believe the thief could have been searching for the car keys.

The homeowners of a neighbouring house were woken by a smashing sound at around 6.30am that morning.

They went to investigate and found that someone had smashed a conservatory window and taken a set of car keys but left the car outside.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time, or anyone who has CCTV cameras that capture roads around Hope Street, Water Street and Shepley Street.
