Venue gets a touch of artistic flare

Lilly Hammond, of Ashover, has created a masterpiece at the Loft, in Crown Square, which will remain in place for years to come.

The 19–year–old said: “Doing the mural at the Loft was such a privilege and exciting experience for me.

“My work is always as big as possible so to have this much wall space was an absolute dream. I took inspiration from a previous piece I did for my AS levels, a six foot square city scape.

“The owners brief was that I could do what I wanted, as long as it was bright and eye–catching – so I did.

“I have personalised the mural to the club and my own life so it is completely one of a kind.”
