VIDEO: Anthony Gell pupils meet world-class athletes
Here’s a video of sporting Anthony Gell students getting an education from two world-class athletes.
Olympian Adam Whitehead and Paralympic skier Anna Turner paid a visit to the Dales on Monday, May 20, to kick-start Wirksworth resident Karen Mackay’s mountainous bid to raise £30,000 for the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.
Later this year Karen will take on the Kilimanjaro Challenge.
To get warmed up, though, she was joined by pupils from Anthony Gell School, Wirksworth, for a 10-mile walk, starting at White Lodge on the outskirts of Bakewell.
