VIDEO: Bull’s-eye for Chesterfield TV darts beauty

She might not be able to throw a 180, but one Chesterfield model has hit a career bull’s-eye by becoming the stunning face of televised darts.

Drop-dead gorgeous Daniella Allfree, 27, started as a walk-on girl for the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) three years ago and is now recognised all over the country by fans of the sport.

And Daniella, of Springfield Drive, Wingerworth, says she loves every minute of her ever-growing fame.

“I think it was the perfect time to start the role when I did,” said mum-of-one Daniella. “The sport has got so big over the last few years – there’s a real buzz about darts now and it just gets bigger.”

Daniella started her career as a fashion model 13 years ago – an industry she still works in – but got into the world of darts after joining Blackpool-based agency Angels Elite.

Now she is the lead walk-on girl for the PDC’s main tournaments and is spotted wherever she goes.

“I didn’t really follow darts before I took the role,” said Daniella. “But I’m a massive darts fan now – I love it.

“The atmosphere at the tournaments is electric too. The fans are so much fun and it is such an honour to be a part of it.”

Daniella has even made good friends with the stars of the sport, including Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.

And the model, who attended Tupton Hall School, has even been getting a few darts lessons from the masters.

“I’ve started having a little practice every now and again, and I’ve asked the players for some tips too,” said Daniella.

“It’s definitely a work-in-progress, though.”

Daniella said the role of a walk-on girl involves a great deal of travelling – and a lot of late nights.

“The travelling can sometimes be tiring, but it’s great to see so many new places and I love how glamorous it all is,” she said. “I’m so happy doing what I do and it’s a real privilege to be part of something so exciting.

“I don’t have any firm plans for the future, but this role has already opened so many doors – we’ll have to wait and see.”

Catch Daniella on Sky Sports from January 30, then every Thursday from February 5.
