VIDEO: Derbyshire family announce pregnancy with horror movie trailer

After finding out they were expecting their second child a family have made a video to share their good news - in the style of a horror movie preview.

Pete Hicklin, 25 met Laura Odgen, also 25 three-and-a-half years a go at a gig in Manchester, and before he had even met her parents the couple found out they were expecting.

Ruby is now and two-and-a-half and going to be a big sister in June 2016.

Pete, who works in Sheffield but lives in Clay Cross, Chesterfeild, said: “Everything happened very fast the first time round and we didn’t have the chance to tell people properly that we were going to be parents so we wanted do something a bit different.”

The couple both like horror movies and wanted to use that to make their announcement.

“Everyone puts up a picture of the scan and that’s the end of it really, but we didn’t.”

The video features shots of Ruby and captions read what you least expect and how to cope when one becomes two? This is all set to chilling music with a heart beat getting faster in the background.

The end titles show the cast as mummy and daddy and will be out June 20, 2016.

Laura is only 14 weeks along and the couple put the video up on Thursday, December 17 it has been watched more than 25,000 times and gone viral worldwide.

“Laura has friends in America and when she shared the video with them it went really big.

“We can’t believe how many people have viewed it, it only took my half an hour on my phone.”

On February 3, 2016 Pete and Laura will be able to find out if they are having a boy or a girl but say they both so excited to extending their family.
