Video on how to save a life

A first aid charity has produced a life-saving video.

St John Ambulance is urging people to watch and share the six-second video to raise awareness about the symptoms of heart attacks.

Chris Thornton, regional director of St John Ambulance in the East Midlands, said: “We want to give people the chance to make an achievable – and potentially life-saving – New Year’s resolution.

“Help us reduce heart attack deaths by watching our video on how to spot a heart attack and then share it with friends. We hope it isn’t but this could be the year you need to use it.”

Research shows that more than 70 per cent of people in the East Midlands wrongly believe that a heart attack is a cardiac arrest. Visit www.sja.org.uk/4ps to watch the video.
