Information about health services in Matlock will be on offer to residents this Saturday.

Matlock Town Council have teamed up with the Patient Participation Groups (PPG’s) of Imperial Group Surgery and Lime Grove Medical Centre to help residents access better information about local health services.

The joint event takes place at the Imperial Rooms (10am-3pm).

Representatives from organisations such as Diabetes Care, Healthy Living, Dementia Support Groups and Cardiac Support groups will be available for advice and information during the event, which is the first time the surgeries have worked together on an event like this.

The aim is to allow local people to drop in and have an informal chat with organsations to find out what additional support is available to them or just to call in and collect information to read later.

Frank Dickens, from Lime Grove Medical Centre PPG, said: “We felt this was an area being missed and wanted to work together to address it.”

Brenda Greaves, from Imperial Group Surgery PPG, added: “This was an ideal opportunity for the two surgeries to work together and provide information we felt was missing.

“We’d also like to hear what residents think of their surgery and to encourage people to participate in how the service is provided.”
