A village has been celebrating all things bright and beautiful at an annual outdoor event.
Brassington Open Gardens took place last week, during which members of the public were invited to take a look inside the hidden gardens of villagers.
Green–fingered locals had the chance to proudly display their immaculate lawns, flourishing roses and wild flower beds.
Held over the Saturday and Sunday, the weekend of horticultural finesse was fun for all the family.
As well as the garden displays there was a concert as well as a plant stall and an art exhibition.
Visitors enjoyed an uplifting performance by Wirksworth Community Choir, which was followed by Songs of Praise in St James’ Church.
Proceeds from the event went to the church.
