Volunteer doctor to the rescue
A volunteer emergency doctor assisted an elderly driver who became unwell in the Peak District.
Dr Chris Press, East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme (EMICS) attended the incident on the A57 near Ladybower Reservoir on Thursday. Dr Press gave the man in his 80s airway management and drugs to sedate him, he then escorted him to Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital.
