Volunteers celebrate raising nearly £160,000 for charity

Charity workers are celebrating after raising nearly £160,000 for a cause close to their hearts.

In the 16 years since the Matlock branch of the British Heart Foundation was set up, members have raised £158,470 for the charity through events, donations and collections.

The branch was founded by the late Selwyn Morris and his wife, Dot (pictured above).
