It’s been a thrilling season at the Reynolds Stadium - and now it’s time to vote for your Mercury Player of the year!
Matlock’s cup form, save for the FA Cup exit to Belper, has been outstanding. Who can forget the win over the team proved to be this season’s best in non league football as Conference Premier champions Mansfield were deservedly beaten in an FA Trophy replay?
Injuries have blighted the season and it’s been a hugely disappointing league campaign, but there have been some outstanding individual contributions.
Now it’s the fans’ chance to recognise this and vote for your player of the season, sponsored again by the Mercury, which will be presented at the club’sPresentation Night in the Matlock Town Social Club on Friday May 10.
Will skipper James Lukic keep his award, or will the fast emerging star Adam Yates take it off him? Yates has been outstanding, whether it be at full back, centre half or in central midfield.
Striker Lewis McMahon has netted some vital goals, scoring in both games against the Stags, fellow striker Massiah McDonald grabbed a late winner.
