The Met office has forecast that most places across Chesterfield and the East Midlands will remain dry with sunny spells with some isolated afternoon showers.

It is expected to feel very warm inland, but cooler along the coast due to the onshore breeze.

Sunny spells have been forecast for this evening with a chance of a few heavy showers.

Overnight any showers are expected die away leaving clear spells until later when outbreaks of heavy rain spread northwards.

Temperatures are expected to reach 20 degrees centigrade today with lows falling to 16 degrees.
