Sunny spells forecast for Chesterfield as 'mini heatwave' set to take hold

While it will remain mostly cloudy with highs of 12°C today (April, 21) the warm weather is expected to start tomorrow in Chesterfield with sunny spells and temperatures climbing up to 15°C in preparation for a hot burst.
On Friday, April 23 it is forecast to be sunny throughout the day in what is being described as a “mini heatwave” with highs of 17°C.

Hide AdLater in the evening, temperatures are predicted to drop to a cooler 4°C along with a gentle breeze.
The burst of hot weather on Friday comes after residents in Chesterfield enjoyed sunny spells last weekend to mark the reopening of pubs, bars and restaurants outside.
Temperatures will fall slowly across the weekend, with a cooler 14°C forecast on Saturday along with intervals of sunshine and cloudy spells.
While Sunday is going to mainly sunny with some cloud cover, there will be cooler highs of 12°C with temperatures dropping down to 4°C at night time.

Hide AdAcross the north of England, BBC Weather predict plenty of sunshine and light winds across the region on Friday.
There will be patchy cloud at times across northern areas on Saturday, but there will also be plenty of sunny spells, and it will continue to be dry.
More cloud is forecast for Sunday too and temperatures will tend to be chilly during the nights under clear skies.
