Well dressing raises cash for hospitals
A Derbyshire tradition will be taking place in Matlock with proceeds raised going to a local cause.
Members of the Hackney Well Dressing Team will be displaying the fruits of their labour as they unveil this year’s well dressings.
On Saturday, August 17, there will be a blessing of the wells performed by the retired Reverend Quarton.
This will take place in Holt Road, Matlock, at noon.
There will also be a bric–a–brac stall and refreshments on offer.
Money raised from the event will go towards the Matlock Hospital League of Friends.
